Teaching High-enrollment courses with Resilience, Innovation, Value & Engagement (THRIVE) FLC Kick-off
Are you teaching a large lecture course and feeling the weight of the logistics, administration, and unique demands that come with it?
You’re not alone.
We invite you to join the Teaching High-Enrollment courses with Resilience, Innovation, Value & Engagement (THRIVE) Faculty Learning Community (FLC) beginning in August 2026. Led by Lena Hoober, this FLC is designed specifically for faculty navigating the challenges of large lecture teaching. Be a part of creating space to connect with colleagues, share strategies, and explore approaches that support both effective teaching and a sustainable workload.
Together, we will:
Exchange practical strategies for managing large classes
Explore ways to streamline course logistics and communication
Reflect on student engagement and learning at scale in the age of AI
Build a supportive network of colleagues who understand the realities of large lecture teaching
