In this interactive workshop, Antonio describes approaches to managing conversations about students' misuse of GenAI for writing assignments. Drawing on bell hooks' engaged pedagogy and the concept rhetorical listening, faculty will learn how to take a holistic approach to addressing students about suspected use of GenAI. Attendess should come prepared to share their strategies and potentially role play as teachers and students in invented scenarios.
